Help With Karlsbad Porcelain Mark

Hello, I need your help with this mark on porcelain. I picked up 6 of these the other day. Beautiful 6" bowl/dish. The problem I have is the mark. Is Carlsbad the same as Karlsbad?? I try and google Karlsbad and Carlsbad comes up. I have seen this mark before on this board but I could not get very far with info. Any input would be greatly appreciated. You people on this board are amazing. Thank You !! Oh not sure this would help but there is an impression mark that looks like the number 11 also on all 6 pieces, not sure you can see it in pics. Thanks!

 

In this case the spelling of Karlsbad really won't help much in the identification of your item. The more important part of the mark is the entwined letters. The mark is for Higgins & Seiter an import firm in New York.

In Bohemian Decorated Porcelain by Henderson it states "Higgins & Seiter imported and distributed French, German, Bohemian, Austrian and English china from 1887 to 1915."

WW I forced Higgins & Seiter into bankruptcy. Your bowls were probably part of a full dinner set that got split up over the years. The impressed number is almost certainly a shape number. Even if the correct Higgins & Seiter catalog could be found the dinner set is unlikely to have had a pattern name, and no further information about the manufacturer would be listed.
