    Hi!

I was intrigued with the look of these lamps at a thrift store today and had to adopt them! :)

I've been Googling them, trying to figure out how old (or new) they are, and who made them. I love to own things that have a history and part of the fun of that, to me, is figuring out what their history was!

So, the only markings I see, are the stamp on the bottom, with the number 6123, and the UL sticker...which I searched on the UL site and didn't get a hit on any of the numbers. I couldn't find anything on artisans, either...not sure if that's a company name or what. These are either fairly new lamps or they've been rewired, because, the wiring and cords look pretty new. One of the sockets has been replaced.

If anyone could point me in a direction, it would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!
    Peggy

On the label it says, "Artisans" That may be the manufacturer.

I thought so too, but, there's no trace of that name on the internet anywhere, which I thought was odd. I did find a listing for a floor lamp that had that name on the UL sticker also. Let me see if I can find that photo again and I'll post it.

If they've been rewired, would a new UL label be put on them by whoever did the rewiring?

Or, maybe artisans is a category in UL? I dont know. I searched the UL search tool for artisan as a company name, the issue number, and the E number. I got no hits on any of them.

Also-there's a finial on one of them-the other is missing. Here's a picture of it:

No. If they replaced the bulb fixture, then the label could be from a different lamp. I doubt this is the case for such a new lamp.

There would be no designation such as this by Underwriter's Laboratories.

The UL database site is underwhelming. It's always a shot in the dark over there.

    Thanks!

The UL label is on the old socket. The replaced/new socket doesn't have anything on it.

Newer import item. Shades like that were popular in the 90s-2000s
