7 1/2 inches tall, appears to be some kind of molded or sculpted plaster? Looks like a school art project to me, but I like it. What do you all think?

The mouth opening is usually an ashtray but the only smoke escape I see is the nose.

That's the face I make at an estate sale when they tell me how much they want for something I want to buy. LOL
    Just kidding.
It is strange but interesting to say the least.

Good idea, I'll look into it. There is also a small hole on each side of the mouth.
The mouth hole is not really deep enough to hold a cigarette, and even ashes I think would just fall out of the mouth.

What fun, looks like Moai meets crazy golf! I like it but have no idea where/when it's from, sorry.

Looks like chalkware & my first thought when I saw the face was Hawaiian, Polynesian, etc.

My SWAG is chalkware carnival prize from the 1950s / 1960s when Hawaii became a state.

Looks like the plaster/vermiculite mixture we used to carve in junior high art classes...

At first I thought it might be Frankenstein and the things on the side of the neck were his electric bolts.

Cheryl, that was my first thought also. We used to do some kind of scultpure using balloons and plaster and cardboard milk containers.
Pearls, I also thought of Frankenstein.
The ashtray suggestions seem likely because of the holes in the nose and on the sides, but the mouth is very shallow, about 1 inch deep, and a cigarette would not rest there.
