Featured Silver overlay decanter

    I'm finding precious little info online about things from Belgium. Does the 94% on the base of this decanter refer to the silver content or a base metal? The colored area between the marks in the second and third pictures is "goo" from an old sticker. The marks are only partially stamped on the bottom, but I can't find a list of manufacturers to even get a starting point. Help!

    Don't worry...it was dried and the stopper was removed after the pic was taken. ;)

    94% TIN...that ain;t no silver....that's pewter !

    which would mean it's made after the induction of the mandatory % mark. end of 70s.
