    Nice lot obb

    Is the crucifix gold ?

I like the look of the birds brooch, also the hand painted oval one at the top

Crucifix isn't marked, although it might be gold, it needs testing. Something else on the tray is hallmarked gold though. ;)

I'll play! A heavy silver link bracelet with toggle clasp? The tiger eye brooch?

Oh, I have to throw a wild guess in....the ring just above the horse pendant?

Keep going. ;) It may be that they're a bit small to see. One of the rings - the broad one - is silver I think. Brooches are costume but decent and there's some nice dress clips and buckles.

I guess that is not amber? Edit: The stick pin?

I see some wide gold bands with marks huddled together.

Love the acorns, I see a few duettes and some possible silver with marcasites :)

I think it is too. Could be interesting.
I love the acorns too, and a couple of duettes are always nice. And I know you like Toledo ware.:)

But what to do with the poor Chinese baby scorpion that was stuck into hot amber/resin?:bigtears:

The duettes are nice old buckles - I'd have shown the backs given more time. I do indeed love Toledo Ware and there's three bits of it.

Yup, of course I bought it. ;) Eighty odd pieces, cost me about twenty pence per bit.

    Nope! ;)

Although those two top left brooches do have some age. The one right at the top is a scarf clip. Rings are all nice costume.

    Clue. Plastic baggie.

OK, you've told us where it's hiding -- but I still can't see what it is!

I'm mean aren't I. The thing in the baggie is a VERY heavy hallmarked for silver pendant with a gold wash. Just above it is a gold stick pin with 9 carat marks.

Basically, I'll have got the odd L03A.jpg L08A.jpg L03B.jpg L06A.jpg L05B.jpg L04C.jpg L07A.jpg L04A.jpg L05A.jpg L04B.jpg bits I'm keeping for free, the rest will make a wee profit. Keping these two rings, and a bit of the bling. There's a couple of reasonable Victorian brooches which will go in a lot I've already got.

    Happy days.

The one I'd have checked first was the bracelet sitting above the cross (which isn't worth checking on closer inspection; I can see pot metal poking out from here). I'm wondering what that 1962 piece is all about too. It's probably not precious metal but some of those commemorative pieces from odd spots sell for money. I hit an oddball pin from a short line railroad once. Bought it in a lot I'd picked up because of another piece. Started it on Ebay for $25 and it went for $350.
