    This is a bangle and it's marked like it's silver....I think.... Can anyone figure out what it says? I think there's a maker's mark in there too. Picked up a lot of stuff today for $10 and this was in it.

    There were a few other things too, including an Israeli souvenir box and candle holder. I'll have to research that one a bit, but it held a tealight or votive or something.

    Yes, I recognize the 銀 character for silver. As you know that doesn't always mean it is. It looks convincing, but best to test it just to be sure.
    So far I see a Toledo or Toledo style bracelet, an amber or faux amber bracelet, a Turkish nazar bracelet with repro(?) Ottoman(?) coins, a Peruvian-looking bracelet and Peruvian/Bolivian cocktail fork. But you probably already know that.;)
    The necklace Bohemian?

    @Any Jewelry

    I have a necklace with the same type of beads as the blue one in the front. Is that the one you are calling Turkish?

    Yes, those are called nazar beads, the 'eyes' are meant to ward off the evil eye. They are traditionally Turkish, but the use spread to some other countries that were once part of the Ottoman empire.

    Thanks! It not only looks real, it feels real too, but I still have to test it because the color doesn't look right. Then again if it's silver made for the Chinese market they may have used a different alloy than things meant for us dumb Yankees.

    One Toledo/Spanish bracelet, one wanna-be amber (I has me doubts), a Peruvian souvenir bracelet, the acorn one with enamel acorns (one missing), a Czech glass bracelet (purple stones) and that Peruvian cocktail fork. The other two cocktail forks are sterling, made in who-knows. The earrings are spring-loaded hoops, not marked but gold-filled. The necklace is pure costume. It's glass and random metal with no marks whatsoever. It doesn't feel like a Czech piece, but if someone paid the factory to make it that way it could be Czech as well as anything else.

    And yes I know that, but someone else might not.

    This is the souvenir of Israel box I hauled it home in. I knew what it was the moment I saw it, but most folks would have to read the lettering. DSCF9675.JPG

    That Toledo Ware one is an unusual shape. Agreed on wannabee amber:I've a few of those, nice enough copies.

    It was dirt cheap and I had to work fast. The Spanish one has more wear on it than I like to see, but the price was right!
