Let me introduce myself

Hi, my name is Vicki Olson and I am a 66 year young semi-retired antique dealer having had my own antiques store for about 25 years. I have sold on ebay, Ruby Lane and also tried TIAS for a short time. My main selling platform online was Ruby Lane at one time, having had a store with up to 5,000 items in it at the top of my tenure there. I was in the top 25 dealers in several categories but then illness combined with a dishonest employee caused me to lose my Ruby Lane store. The economy had already done a death blow to my bricks and mortar store and the employee problem was the straw that broke the camel's back. Now, five years later and I'm putting my life and business back together although I will never get as big as I once was. My loves are glass, art, ephemera and marbles. I collect cased glass. I then to lean towards the bright outer colors with white interiors. I also have a love for czech glass. My favorite marbles are Akro Agate corkscrews such as popeye's and I am fascinated with oxbloods of all types. I am presently selling on Ebay with a variety of items, mostly jewelry, in my store. The name of my store is 'manylittles'. When I started out in the antiques business, other dealers were very closed mouthed and no one shared knowledge and information. I very much appreciate the changes that social media has enabled in the Antiques industry. Looking forward to meeting you guys !!! Vicki

Quite a story. Sorry to hear of your misfortune, but it sounds like you are doing a good job putting your business back together.
I have also had to stop most of my actvivities, in antiques and arts, due to ill health. We now have a small shop on Etsy, which is currently 'taking a break' due to health issues. That is the way we manage it. When I can leave the house for postal runs again, we'll be back from our 'break'. That way we still participate in buying and selling, as a hobby, but all at our own pace.
