How wonderful! I don't have anything in particular to inquire about, but will love to read and learn about all the things to come.:cat:

I want to add my thanks, as well! I'm going to be away for possibly a couple weeks, out of cell phone range and internet connection, but as soon as I get back, I know I'll be checking this board regularly.

There are quite a few former AB members with a wide range expertise in ethnic and tribal arts who are now signed up here, so this should be an interesting and helpful site!

So, where is this place that has neither Internet nor cell phone access?

I hated to leave just when this forum was getting started, but I'm back. Just spent a couple weeks working on habitat restoration at the American Prairie Reserve in northern Montana, taking down old fences and wiring so the buffalo can roam more freely. No cell service, no internet, no electricity, and now a lot less barb wire and fiberglass fence posts!

Sounds like fun. Did you bring any photos for us? :)

I'm not sure I'm technically competent enough to get them from my small notebook to here. But the American Prairie Reserve's website's photo gallery shows exactly what I saw, (except for the rattlesnake and Indian dancers): http://www.americanprairie.org/learn-about/picture-gallery/

I even experienced the double rainbow, which was a complete arc, from one side of the prairie to the other, forming a half-circle right over the top of our yurts! The buffalo calf, flowers, curlews, and prairie dog photos all look just like the ones I took.

Thanks for sharing that site Taupou, looks like an amazing place. Interesting reading on the homecoming of the bison!
