    Keywords? 2-1/4 inch fitter. Opaque inside.

    Terry,

    If you can get me these pics, I can post it to one of the Art Glass boards

    A picture from the side.
    A picture showing the rim
    A picture showing the underside
    Images should be against a solid background if possible.
    Dimensions also need to be posted.

    Design of the pattern is sometimes referred to as King Tut. Shape is one Steuben used but I don't think I have ever seen a King Tut design of this. Consequently, I am leaning towards this being new or maybe old and European in origin.

    Thanks Brad. I'll go back this morning and see if a matching lamp shows up. At this thrift store they always separate bulbs, shades, and lamps for sale. If it was an old lamp they may not put it out as they think that's unsaleable. By some seller's descriptions, the King Tut pattern predates King Tut's discovery.

    Define new/old. I would be more concerned with the quality of the shade. If the base is fire polished, it would indicate better quality and a better maker.

    Old/new is pretty subjective.

    Not really a matched set I guess. One is more gold, one more silver.

    Nice ending Terry!!! :happy::happy::happy:

    BTW since yours are no longer available, this is what eBay thinks is a comparable item to a pair of c.1910 Loetz glass shades I might find interesting.

    Pair of Mid Century Vintage Style 2 Tier Fiberglass Lamp Shades Atomic Ivory/SLV
