Egyptian .800 Silver Nefertiti Bust & Tut Mask Figures w/Cartouche Seals? in Bases

I dug these out of a garage at an estate sale recently. Has anyone seen anything like these before?


The last image shows the hallmarks on the bottom edge of the Nefertiti. The Tut has only 2 marks that appear to be the same, only omitting the "lotus".
I have determined that the mark at left designates .800 fineness, and the lotus is for silver (since 1946). The mark at right should be a date code, but the only date chart I can find ends at 1982, and this mark doesn't seem to match any on that chart. It it therefore safe to assume these pieces are post-1982? Can anyone decipher that mark?
Is the cartouche in the base intended to be used as a "seal", or purely decorative?
Are these most likely souvenirs, or perhaps something more interesting?
Finally, can anyone translate the hieroglyphs?

Oh, I forgot to add dimensions: These stand 1-14" and 1-1/2" tall. The cartouche bases are a bit over 1" x 2".

 

Thanx, Bronwen! I actually did see this chart somewhere, too; though it does go later than 1982, I still can't match my mark to it, either.

 

From what I can see, my best guess is that it is the letter used in 49-51 & again in 02-06. Arabic is such a delicate script, used in a tiny stamp, those little loops & dots have a way of turning into blobs. This chart came off the official Egyptian government web site just a few years ago. They seem now to use 925/sterling as standard & to mark in western style or both western & eastern style. Suspect they may have abandoned marking for date.

 

Yes, Bronwen, these marks are very tiny. Probably why I was the one to buy these, though the garage was crawling with shoppers. The casual observer wouldn't even see them, but I recognized them for what they are, though I wasn't sure of the reading.
The date mark you suggest does seem to be the most likely candidate, although this mark seems to have more dots around it. Thanx for your help. I still hope to learn something more about the items...

 

The other possibility would be the one for 78-79.

 

I'm with Bronwen on the possible date marks, I can only add that Nefertiti has the Cairo mark as well, just above the 80 for .800.
The marks are clear and very well photographed, my compliments, but maybe Tut's marks are more legible?

 

Hi, Any Jewelry. No Tut's marks are less legible, but I can make out that the Cairo .800 mark is the same, and the date mark is likely the same, but much less clear:

I am finding this to be the name cartouche meaning Tutankhamen.

 

The one on the right I have seen far more than any other inscription on souvenir-type scarab bottoms & cartouche pendants, most of them not featuring Tut. My (weak) understanding is that it is essentially 'Good Luck'. 'Long Life' might be closer.

I did see the one on the right a few times around the 'net along with Tut figures, so I was thinking that might be it. I wonder whether the other one represents Nefertiti?
