Does anyone know which artist (painting-'73) uses this monogram?

Hi All,
First of all, I hope you, and your loved ones, are in good health.

Secondly, I would like some help in finding the artist who made this watercolor (/mixed technique), that I bought a while ago. Also, I am keen to know, what type of paper it is painted on. (It’s as thin as ‘Indian Paper’) The frame gives no clues, as I framed it myself. There is only a monogram and numbers ’73, the year it was made. (Image Seize: 63x28cm)

Can anyone help me with info?

the paper looks hand made....any chop marks on it?

 

The imagery does appear to be religious.

Hi All. Thank you for you contributions! A friend was looking at the work, the other day. He thought it might be 'mulberry' paper. (To me, it looks so.) Also, he suggested -to my surprise- that he thought that it was not a monogram and date. Perhaps MG, but he thought that what we are looking at is Cyrillic writing. That would be a game-changer. (I live in the Netherlands, bought the work at a Dutch (art) auction site. Any thoughts in relation to this info? All the best, take care!
