HELP WITH AGE OF CONCRETE? TERRA COTTA? CHERUB/ANGEL SCONCES

I found these yesterday at a local yard sale. At first I thought they were terracotta until I picked them up - they are heavy!
Is there a way to tell how old they are - maybe by the unusual hook on back?
They are fairly large; they measure 17" long x 9" high/deep
Also, these are concrete not terracotta right? The concrete was just dyed to look like terracotta?
These must be made for outside right? I don't know if a reg drywall wall could hold their weight.
But they sure are pretty!
PS - Last photo is a cool concrete organ grinder's monkey I also got at same yard sale - just showing it because it's so funny!

 

Pretty! They're concrete and that's a standard hanger for them. Heavy gauge bent wire is sunk in to the concrete while it's wet.

If you plan to hang them inside, be sure you nail in to a stud. The weight of them could damage the drywall.
