    Greetings Pottery Enthusiasts-
It's a hot summer day in southwestern Pennsylvania. I'm hoping someone might recognize this work or perhaps the signature. Height is about 9-1/4". Done like a cameo with sgraffito decoration to detail the stylized dragon and flowers in the art deco style. Across the room I was thinking Steuben acid-cutback. White clay. Quite a fancy incised, 2-word script signature. The 2 long straight lines appear to be enhancements of a letter within each word. (Ignore the 3 green marks, compliments of a thrift store inventory.) Any thoughts? Anonymous studio pottery? The thing was skillfully done. Apologies for the signature photos...couldn't seem to get them any more clear. Thanks for thinking. Try rubbing some cinnamon into the letters to see what stands out.

Just to add, looks like Cizhou ware inspired.

Thanks to all! We'll try the cinnamon.

We tried the cinnamon trick but it didn't help this time. (We plan to use it in other circumstances.) The cinnamon wouldn't stick in the grooves of the letters. Anybody else want to chime in before we put this on the back burner?
