Featured Antique art book

I took some pictures pages.
Any idea?

 

This is called an album amicorum (friendship book), written in Dutch and French.

 

Very nice book, but not antique yet. The ones that are dated are all in the 1950s.

 

Some really nice sketches there, Abdel. Judging from some of the sketches, I think the album is Belgian.
It looks like it was started in 1948, the date of the first page with the photo. The photo is probably of the first owner's mother, because the poem that goes with it is about honouring one's mother.

 

The artwork in this little album is very well done. It looks older than the actual dates, the same styles as some albums I've got from the 1920's. There was a lot of amateur talent around in those days!
