Unidentified Teapot

    A family member has this teapot that we would love to know more about. It was purchased from a charity shop many years ago, and we don’t know anything about it’s origin. All I can tell you other than the pictures is that it feels quite heavy, and the pattern appears to be painted. What style would this be, and could anyone possibly tell anything from the mark on the bottom? Thank you

    The mark is the pattern number . Looks English with almost aesthetic style design which would date to late 19thc

    I was wondering if this is a Jackfield teapot or just a black glazed teapot, and how to tell. Also, is there a name for a handle that goes over the top? Thanks.

    Thank you, that’s interesting. I too thought the over the top handle was unusual
