This art deco style flower frog has a mark on it but I can't make it out. They must have just refilled the ink reservoir when they hit this item. It all mushed together. I was going to toss it because of the broken and glued foot, but decided to keep it, at least for awhile. She measures 7 1/2" high. THX!

Might be George Borgfeldt & Co. If this is the nark in Rontgen, they say c1978.

(The company goes back to the late 19thC, so Deco isn't out of line.)

Thanks! With your info, I was able to find another flower frog ID'd as Borgfeldt with the same mark. That's after I waded through hundreds of doll images. Sheesh, I thought Borgfeldt was all about pretty plates and cranberry glass goblets.

That's a great idea! Well, at least it gives me an idea about how to mask the crack. She's very nice! But not surprised she has a broken ankle with it sticking out like that. I think I have a bowl for her in the basement (where all my "stuff" is stored). It's lavender, but then maybe her ankle bracelet could be matched.

Maybe a thin lavender ribbon, with a bow.:)

    Haha! A kyratisation project?;)
I'd try to find a semi round brass ring as on old fountain pen, cut it to size and close it on the ankle :)
Waiting to find the convenient piece, a thin ribbon glued at end should be fine:joyful:

Someone with a little talent could probably use enamel paints and give her a little ankle wreath. It wouldn't really be inconsistent. Some lady flower frogs do have some enameling - mostly on the scarf. Sweet piece! At first I thought that Borgfeldt mark was a Coronet mark!

She is much too pretty to end up in the trash! I do hope you find a use for her :)
