What is the name

    I purchased at auction x 2 19th century Spode plates oriental pattern and this label was on the back and I cannot for the life of me decipher the name. So far I have “ 2 plates of a series? That belonged to the late...... these were in an auction lot purchased in the U.K.
    can any of you clever folks decipher the name, old writing is beyond me.

    "2 plates of a service that belonged to the late" followed by a name.

    Might be the late JW Gernal or Gerual or Gerrial or Gerriad. :confused:

    I think that might be "T.W."? The first letter is identical (to my eye) to the "t" in "that" above. And Sarah, what part of the world did you purchase these in?
