Not so sure. I'm going to add more photos from my books, but here is how mine was marked.........without question as to who made it.

Very little info on this doll, but here are two photos from my books. It's too bad that they don't show the marks.

It's obvious from the picture that the doll had a flake on her cheek.

The dealer that has the ebay listing is completely out of line in their price. They listed it as F & B, but state in the listing it is unmarked, and afraid to remove the clothes for a better look.....a big mistake. Also, it is in poor condition.

When you look at both the book dolls, they both have different features.
And the book with the 14"does not state if it's marked or how it's marked.

According to one of the books, Modern Collector's dolls, (Smith), the doll was made from 1912 to 1939, so changes were probably made through the years of reproduction.

I wish I had a book just on F&B, but I don't. Perhaps your local library has one, if one does exist. I have Ginny, Ideal, Alex. etc., but not F & B.:(

Wow. Thanks for all the great information @judy I'm going to try and loosen the material around her neck to get a pic of the mark. It is really tight and has a tack or staple holding it tight.

    You're welcome.

Looking at your photo again, it doesn't appear that you doll has the full compo shoulder plate.

More later............patient is ready to come home! YAAAAAAAY!

@judy I took some more clothes off her. shows the arms and how they are attached. coming loose though. The 176 is BCD as i didn't want to remove the cloth. And her hands are in great condition

@916Bulldogs123...........I'm not familiar with BCD.....nor can I really see those initials on the doll.

If you are going to list her, consider listing as a parts doll, a Baby Grumpy lookalike, with the initials you see. Be sure to list it in as is condition with lots of photos.

Best of luck and let us know how she sells, and if you get more info along the way. Upon listing someone just might let you what you do have!:cat:

BCD was best can do on the photo. The photo is of the numbers 176 on the back of her neck. Sorry for any confusion.
