Not a clue...decorative metal whatever it is

I bought these two metal items at a fleamarket in France.
The person who sold them to me did not have a clue as to what they were. They seem to be most probably iron however coated with something.

AuDragon Hi there Sonya. They are cast iron supports for an old Dutch colonial oil lamp, found commonly in Indonesia and other countries where the Dutch colonised. These lamps are very collectible in Australia, and I recently bought another 2 at auction at good prices.
The lamps are often electrified now and look gorgeous in an appropriate house. The supports allow the lamp to be raised and lowered (on the chain links that you can see at each end) and is counterweighted with the use of the central heavy weight. You can see how the supports work on this example which is locally available in Sydney:
