Huge Studio tea pot..anyone can identify?

    I bought this pot believing that it was Chinese, but then realized that it was a studio pot, and it was huuuge!

    I can’t identify the maker but I believe such large scale teapot were used aboard canal boats in 19th century England. Their large size and weight helped to keep them steady on the tables of rolling ships and barges on the waterways. They are commonly known as Bargeware and they are collectible.

    Thank you Walter!! Very interesting your theory, it makes sense since it weights almost 3 kg empty, it can hold 2 liters at least. Even if it looks of later manufacture of 19th C, it is still a funny piece to have in a collection. Thank you again, all the best!
