What do you think these were used for?

    C2E29D5B-5801-4E59-A09A-2C313A3900A4.jpeg I found these for $5 and thought they would make great candle holders.

    What do you think they really were?

    Cast iron. Hollow. No threading to indicate a screw in light bulb.

    how would you clean them?

    Since it looks like they can be secured to a floor/base, maybe flag pole holders.

    Are there 4 bolt holes or just the 3 we can see from the pics?

    There's a quite a few sets of four of these on worthpoint, all identified as stove or tub legs. Nothing precise though to narrow it down to brand or style.
