Featured Specialty Hammer odd shape is it a cobbler's tool MN find

    hammer1.jpg hammer2.jpg My sister came up with this oddly shaped hammer and we are wondering what its purpose was. It came out of Minnesota farm country, looks like it might be hand forged and was certainly made for a particular use, any idea what that use might be? we're speculating it's from a shoe, or maybe a harness maker or something along that line. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
