Porcelain Pitcher

    Porcelain pitcher with painted Greek or Roman scenes. Marked on the bottom with just a letter and some numbers. Measures 7 7/8" tall and is 3 1/2" wide at the top and 4 3/4" wide at the base.

    English, late 19th C/early 20th and I've totally forgotten who did these. Bother.

    Thanks bear. Would this be by Etruria in a Neo Classical design?

    I've just remembered: Beardsmore! Neo Classical, yes, and Greek to be more precise. If you're thinking Wedgwood Etruria, no, I don't think it is. The outlines are probably transfer then hand coloured.
