Chinese coffeee table? Dinning table or Rooms To Go replica :)

Ok I have hopes for this table, but as always I need to listen to the experts(compared to me, that means everyone else ). Would love to know the wood, style and if a replica or original. I realy like this table and think it is a keeper, this table is very sturdy, keeping it, is just floating around in my head. The top wood seemed to have shrunk with age, you will see in the picture that the top frame is put together with square wooden pegs that come thru to the side. One of the short sides seemed to have been caught in a fire just on the top edge, and someone either put out the fire or just saved the table and ran out the door.

For what it’s worth, I found this online that has the same block joint connector for the top frame and crack on table top. But anyone can say what they want online. Just pointing to it

 

Chinese style and construction. Probably difficult to tell age, as they love to reproduce the same things for centuries.
