    And this type of vine is painted inside the box. I suspected some very old Limoges but couldn’t correlate with any known mark.

    I was looking at this. But I see 'Shonheit', which is not a name Google can find. There are a couple of artists named Schonheit connected with Meissen; this is not their mark.
