MAJOLICA VASE: Origin, age, design?

    Any info on this 6” vase like what country it originates from, it’s age, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Interesting and very pretty too. :cat: Think it could be Art Deco in age by the design? Looks South American to me, but I don't know that for a fact.

    11155481_master.jpg I believe majolica refers to stuff that has raised flowers, fruit, shells, etc. This is flat painted.

    Majolica doesn't have to have applied decoration, but a lot does. It has to have a white undercoat and tin glaze. That's the extent of my knowledge.

    Majolica means the body and glaze, not the decoration. Tin glazed earthenware. I do agree that this vase is not majolica.
