Real VOlkstedt or not exactly? I dont see much if any that look like this

The modeling looks decent. The mark is heavily drawn, but likely good. Has an art nouveau quality to it.

This is an instance where you want a neutral colored background - something darker than the whites, but lighter than the browns.

 

crossed forks look Volkstedt. subject is well known.
looks like an item on which they tried out the brown color. could be reject.

 

that's a real good pt about the photos, yeah I see that. Is that a tail of a fish just floating on by?

 

why does the brown underglaze streak across the base like that and then just stops as it reaches the rim? Is that because of the way it rests in the kiln? or does it look unnatural?

 

Love the modeling. Beautifully done.

 

Probably flowed like that when it was applied.
