    Hello friends,

I would like to propose to your attention this rather "lived" centerpiece.

The diameter is 30.5 cm and has 3 feet that raise it, as shown in the photo.

The metal is to be identified.

    It has a brand name: "A & H" and has a "4786" number.

When I took it at an auction house in Rome, inside a large batch of objects,

it was completely encrusted with dirt and brown,

I proceeded to give a superficial cleaning,

at least to understand what it is.

The scratches were already there, I'm innocent :)

I'd like to identify it and date it if possible.

    Thanks :)

You mean to say that there could be a small chance that it's Silver?

Doubt it. Looks like plate to me. Thought there might be a mark on the left of the "A&H" though.

    thank you

I have done other photos in macro function, yes, there is something, but it is very corroded by wear. On the left I think I see a C and a pattern with a sort of logo, and on the right I seem to see a lion's tail (see photo with the green arrow)

Then, at another point I seem to see another pattern, but I do not know if it's dirt and my imagination only (that damn dirty does not want to go away)

The dirty part might be glue from a sticker. I don’t think the rest look like marks close up, but see what other people think.

Oh, and the decoration running around it is ivy leaves & berries.

    Hello thanks,
I think that at this point I need to do the silver test with my kit.
I'll forward you the related photos later.
Thanks for your interest and time.

    Hello

i did the silver test .

It's not red how i was hoping .

    What do you think ?

I put the acid where there was already a scratch, of course i did not that scratch by myself :)

I generally use a scratch test with a stone and 18k gold acid. Generally, those "feet" indicate silverplate, but.... you never know.
