This is a piece from a grandparent who collected all manner of interesting things with a special fondness for Chinese and Japanese porcelain. The mark reads as Qianlong but I feel it is possibly an Early Republic piece that co-opted an earlier mark. I would appreciate some fresh eyes having a look.

Probably mid to late 20th century, slip cast commercial porcelain and of little or no interest to collectors. Such items are still in production, printed or handpainted, sometimes both, and are mainly of utilitarian value. The mark appears to be printed but the decoration hand painted.

Thanks MTVessel. Makes sense. I remember in the early 60s where it sat on a shelf and it held all the green savings stamps so definitely a utilitarian piece!
