    Hi I’m Karen- live in Maine- I’ve grown up around a lot of hand me down furniture and have come to appreciate the way this furniture was made- I’ve started to poke around a bit at antique stores and would like to learn more about what I’m looking at....my grandfather was an engineer by trade but a real craftsman at heart- I’m fortunate to have several items he made- looking forward to poking around the forums and meeting like minded people-

    Wonderful antiques can be found in Maine. Use to live in Connecticut when I was still in High school. My mom bought many very nice pieces out that way up into Vermont and Maine. Welcome aboard.
