1941 Little Town on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder Book Value?

Hello, I recently picked up this early edition (1941) of Little Town on the Prairie and of all the research I have done, I am only finding an estimate of the first edition. This one I have states that it is the seventh edition. I do realize that value is based on many factors such as condition. The copy I have is in good condition. If anyone can help with a good estimate of the value, I would certainly appreciate your help.

Can you please post a photo of the whole title page?
1941 was the original publication date of the first edition, but not the date of the 7th edition. The copyright page includes a code, A-V, which means January 1946. (https://www.qbbooks.com/first_ed_pub2.php).

 

For most books, any later edition has far less value than the first edition does. As @2manybooks points out, 1941 is the copyright date, not the publication date.

 

Boards are soiled and its missing its dust jacket. That effects value too.

Try Biblio.com as well. Hard to tell the condition yours is in, but it might give you an idea. Again, these are asking prices, so take that with a grain of salt.

 

I think you could get $50 for it if you find the right person.

 

If you could get $20 for a later than first edition I would say take it.
