Featured African trumpet?

    Another recent curious find is this wooden object. It looks a bit similar to Ivory tusk horns from Kongo, that are blown sideways. However this is a wooden object. Didn't find another like it on internet.
    Length about 77 cm. The whole length is hollowed out a bit, or hollow to begin with? And there is some kind of blo
    whole to the side. The wider end has a leather wrapping, without Obvious function. I can't get a musical sound out of if, but i never could work my digiridoo either. :)
    Any ideas about origin and function?
