Midcentury Lamp

Hi all,
Found this gem at a garage sale. How can I tell if its an original period piece or a reproduction?

Perhaps someone here knows how to tell the difference.

It was at a church sale, so there wasn't one specific person to ask, unfortunately.

 

You know, it doesn't really matter if its original or not, I love it. I'm just curious if it is.

 

There is an active eBay seller who MAKES shades like this one. He/she says:

I am inspired by the styles and materials of the 40's 50's and 60's and hand build each shade myself. All of the fiberglass and lacing is brand new.

I wonder if you contacted that seller, if you might get some additional info/advice about how to tell if it's old or inspired?

That's a great idea. Do you have any idea how I could tell if the base is original?

 

Can you show us some photos of the base, plug and socket?

 

Does look more like a modern interpretation of 1950s retro than a genuine vintage lamp.
