Your thoughts about this nesting table

    Can you help me identify this table?It seems that it was part of nesting tables(gigognes).I would like to hear your thoughts before i refinish it. (Age, wood or any other opinions)

    Top appears to be an oak veneer. Rest is something more non-descript. Maybe beech. Think 20th century..... probably no later than the 50s.

    I think it was left on the front porch , to serve mint julips when the neighbors came by...
