Vintage Dragonfly Stained Glass Hanging Lamp

This is a great Dragonfly Hanging Lamp shade that I purchased from a antique shop last September (so some places were still open so that was great)....its in excellent condition....its approx. 21in wide..it has that repetitive pattern like a Tiffany Cone shaped Lamp....but I know that it isn't a Tiffany because there are no signatures, stamps,numbers etc....but I don't know how old it is? ....or what company also made this type of Stained glass lamp shade.....

 

1970s I'd think. When stained glass lamps, especially hanging, had a renewed popularity. The colorway is appropriate for that date. It would be helpful though to see the chain in close-up.

...and also there are so many similarities to a Tiffany cone shaped lamp...like the 6 parts of the Dragonfly tail...the placement and webbing on the wings...the eyes...the 3 layers of brick styled edging.....and again the pattern design.......a repro I'm guessing.....but by who??

 

I don't think the chain is the original....its really light

 

I took a weekly stained glass class in the late 70s. It was a thing. I still have a few of the tools from it.

 

Similars are still being produced today.

The best you can do is call it "Tiffany style".

 

There were (are?) kits available to hobbyists that included all the necessary hardware (including the dragonfly wings) and a form for building the shade.
