    Now here's the strange thing when I search that name Ban Zhao that picture showed up in google images. But when I read about there is no mention of that name. Am I missing something ?

    I actually remember seeing something on TV about that some women still do that. That's crazy because it has got to be extremely painful.

    Lol yeah pretty all women wearing silly shoes that are not comfortable. But seriously they were showing this girl wrapping her feet. They were so deformed from it.

    I don't know if the practice has been modified, & what I think I know comes from a work of fiction, but if the description there was correct, they used to break the bones to get the 'lotus' feet.

    I don't think they had those back then. She seems to have been quite active anyway, something you couldn't be with bound feet.
