Finally think I have this post right with more pics and public lol...would like to know what these are if anyone knows how old or valuable they are. Inkwells maybe? They were owned by grandparents who apparently found 20181014_162043.jpg 20181014_162043.jpg 20181014_162110.jpg 20181014_162140.jpg 20181021_101554.jpg 20181021_101604.jpg 20181021_101611.jpg 20181021_101621.jpg 20181021_101628.jpg 20181021_101637.jpg 20181014_162110.jpg 20181014_162043.jpg 20181014_162110.jpg 20181014_162140.jpg 20181021_101554.jpg 20181021_101604.jpg 20181021_101611.jpg 20181021_101621.jpg 20181021_101628.jpg 20181021_101637.jpg 20181014_162110.jpg over 60 years ago.

I have looked a few times at these and still have no idea what they are. From the orientation of the writing I would expect that they sat on top of someting, with the opening downwards...

Do the small holes on the base go all the way through into the bowl? Could these have been opium pipe bowls, designed to sit on top of the pipe?

If you turn that bowl up and balance on the small neck, the writing is the correct way up.

A lot of fine Art Galleries deal in such items.....search them out for one that will talk to you of your fine works.

And local or national Auction houses that deal in Asian Arts should be able to help or one of the online valuation services.
