Does anyone have a recommendation for a good, safe sniping service? I've been looking into esnipe and gixen. Any recommendations, pros, cons, bad experiences? I'm a little leery of giving out my ebay Id and password, but I know these services are very common and used by many, so am looking to find one that others use with confidence.

    Thanks!

I've used esnipe for awhile and haven't had any problems but it's not as cheap as 5 free snipes a week if that's what Davey gets :).

Dad had a story about a snipe hunt on a Boy Scout camp out back in the early forties. When they found the bag holder a couple days later he had expired.

I have used auctionsniper for years. It is very reliable and easy to use. I have never had a bid not placed. I don't know how it compares $-wise but seems cheap enough. I think you get 5 free snipes to start.

If you use Firefox as a browser, they have a free ebay sniping extension (app)...myibidder.

I've used esnipe for years, success rate over 99% (or failure rate close to zero)

I've used esnipe for years. Only failed once after the password fiasco last year and I hadn't changed it. Set at 1 second. Runs me a dollar a month or so, cheap enough so I never changed.

I use Auctionsniper too, a paid service. A lot of the free snipe services are not compatible with Macs that is the last time I checked.

been using eSnipe for many years with no problems. the pricing is basically 1% for $25-$1000, and $0.25 under $25. So max cost of $10 for any bid over $1,000. When I joined it was free for bids up to $24.99; so I still don't pay for those bids today. And you only pay if you win; so you can bid all day and lose for free. I also just manual, but eSnipe is much easier. ESnipe also has a group bid function where you can put in bids on several auction of the same thing for instance and as soon as you get a win any remaining bids are canceled.
