King size bed frames and mattresses aren't that old. Is it the headboard you want to identify? Pictures?

Ummm + if you believe your bed is by Belter, well, I'd definitely love to see it. The workmanship {4 - 6 layers of lamination) and methods were way out there for his time. It'd be a total sleeper...

This bed was attributed to Belter and sold for over 22,000 in 2008 - 10 years ago. Worthpoint

Belter was the MAN no doubt, once upon a time in NYC. If bed had been labeled/marked instead of attributed, bed would have sold for MUCH more.

Right, @James Conrad, why I used the italics - thanks for the clarification

Figured out the pics, they were too large. The bed frame holds a king sized mattress. It has only one metal component, the irons that hold the four corner posts, and the iron is old. The mattress is held up by carved boards that are knotched to fit in the sideboards. The sideboards and footboard are curved. The footboard is carved laminate and the wood appears to be mahogany or rosewood. We found it at a retired couples home in Florida, they were from NY and their son who was selling their estate items said that it came from New York. If a King most likely not Belter, but a very similar style and design to some Belter pieces I have seen.

It could be or another high end maker, Roux worked out of Philly i think? If it's laminated, by definition it's high end, if selling, you need a professional to look at this in person in my view.

Roux-style, maybe, but a standard king size mattress wouldn't be from the 1800's. A picture of the iron/steel work would be the best was to judge age.

there was no mattress with it.
There are wooden bars to hold a mattress.

Pics of the hardware, the wood slat posts, the back of the headboard, and a closeup of the method of holding the carved headboard front to the frame.

There is a dresser we purchased with the bed headboard and frame. It is similar in style a little, but appears to be made much later than the bed. The dresser is finished inside and out, front and back like the bed set. The mirror and dresser together are 8 feet high and it has 9 drawers that are numbered similar style to the bed pieces.
