Please Id&date a curious copper object with bronze lid and bronze handles

Hello friends,
to your attention this curious copper object with bronze lid and bronze handles.
I can not understand what it is, it's very particular, and so I can not even attribute a dating.

It is a brazier, to burn wood or hot coals, with one handle missing. It looks Spanish, with a Moroccan(?) cover added to it.
Many of these were made in the 1970s. The Spanish name is brasero.

Is this a mark?

 

It is a vintage brazier. But that crescent moon doesn't look Spanish. I'd think Turkey (like this one which is genuinely old) or somewhere further east.
