Help IDing Horse Racing art

My buddy asked me to research this piece and we're not sure if it's a $100 item or a $1000 item. It's really nice in person and frankly, I may want it for my family room if it's on the cheaper side. He got it 20 yrs ago and it has been hanging on the office wall since.
I've been trying to ID the signature and style but all my Googling of images and info hasn't turned anything up. Any tips or help pointing me in the right direction to research it more will be greatly appreciated.

It's nice looking, so if it fits in where you want to put it and the price is right I'd go for it. I went looking and found pieces of his selling for $90 to $7500 with most asking prices around $500.

 

The one from David's link looks like siggys match with VERY similar paintings!
