I'm not sure if these belong here, but music is art, right?

I found these at a friend's 2nd hand furniture store which he found in a storage unit (he gets his furniture from storage auctions) and I can't find another like either one anywhere.
Are these real? I know WEDR is a Miami hip hop radio station, and of course I know Puff Daddy & the song No Way Out, but I never heard of DJ Suicide?
And I'm pretty sure he wasn't part of the song/band?
Did he get them for playing the songs at WEDR?
What are these? Real music awards or fantasy pieces?
I really appreciate any help here!

The back of the plaques have stickers saying they ARE from RIAA - which I found was a record sales certification company; so are these real?

Looks legit from here. I'm going to message a friend of mine who works in the recording industry, as often as not with hip-hop acts and the like. Ask him to take a look. DJ Suicide is a real radio personality.

May just be a business owned by someone with a sense of humor.

A person I know came up with "Zero Concepts" as a business name. :)

    Gagsta Rap.....

Gangsta rap developed in the late '80s. Evolving out of hardcore rap, gangsta rap had an edgy, noisy sound. Lyrically, it was just as abrasive, as the rappers spun profane, gritty tales about urban crime.

    Ill-Eagle............I'm luvin it !!

My company name is the punchline to a family joke.

A punchline that has a standard appliance in it... the appliance has nothing to do with the company, but I get the most interesting mail.

    Hi,
When I was working years ago in the hospital we had company called S&M Repair Company. The salesman used to bring copies of requests that they used to get. Goodness me what people used to do to one another.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I have a few similar gold/platinum album displays that I picked up several years ago. My research led me to conclude that they don't have much value, unless they are the ones issued to the original artist (these aren't). It seems a lot of these were churned out (Ill-Eagle is a real company in New Jersey: https://www.yelp.com/biz/ill-eagle-enterprises-little-falls that is hired to make plaques for any company that hires them) as thank you's to people associated with the artist (as is this radio DJ), in hopes they would decorate their offices and keep the artist name fresh. Put out there by the record company or management, no direct connection to the artist.

There is some interest from record collectors who want a memento of the artist to decorate their den walls, even though not really associated with the artist themselves. That said, I'll be interested in what your research turns up for value and how you sell yours since I was never really certain.

The one from Puff Daddy is going to be worth the most - and the song was famous. Just not sure how the DJ relates to it!

That was my point. The dj doesn’t relate - these are just thank you gifts to anyone in the industry that his record company thought could help their clients. Like sending out printed mugs.

I suspect this is a real plaque that was given to DJ Suicide who I'm sure had something to do with these records, though it would seem not so large of a part. I'd suggest shooting him a message on linkedin to see if these are real.

    Here's his linkedin page: https://www.linkedin.com/in/djsuicide/?locale=zh_CN
