    Hi All,

I have a 7" Burlington Plate which I have been able to date as registered on December 4, 1847, but I cannot locate the country of origin nor any information on the maker. I love this plate and I placed a sticky note on the back of it with the dating information for my sons for the future. Would like to add the history if anyone knows and would share. Thanks so much! 1.JPG IMG_E3390 (2).JPG IMG_E3390.JPG

DizzyDaff Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

    Here's a little something http://www.thepotteries.org/allpotters/903.htm

"John Shaw and Sons Ltd. were established in 1920 at the Drewery Works in Longton making Ornamental & Table ware. On 5 July 1933 they were registered as a limited company .

They traded as Burlington ware which later became Burlington Art Pottery."

No, it doesn't, but the dates are close in range. I do like when people respond and offer their knowledge and links to sources. Researching can both be fun and frustrating at the same time. Many thanks for your time and effort!
