    Can't help with the stone or glass, but is there a maker's stamp inside the screw backs? If yes, knowing the maker can sometimes help ID the materials used.

    All the words are cut off around the edge I can only see certain letters

    The most likely candidates for the stones are vaseline glass or synthetic spinel, the time period for both these is right from the design as well. Without test equipment you are not going to be able to say for sure which one it may be.

    Color under UV definitely consistent with uranium glass.
