Hopefully he’s related to George Ohr.

This tidbit came from Worthpoint: Placide Joseph Saltalamacchia (French, b.1903) established the pottery studio known as Aegitna in Vallauris, France. He worked from 1920 until 1977 when his son took over production.

Hey all! I got so much stuff I forgot all the signatures were on different things. Here's an example of what I'm talking about. IMG_4409.jpg

This plate was decorated by C Mohr who may have been a hobbyist painter

So, are all the floral painted plates signed C Mohr?

This is getting very confusing. Please show us a backstamp from the set of dinner ware you started the thread with.

I know what all of that is now, it's Aegitna Vallauris French ceramic pottery. I'm just trying to find out who painted all these other things.

Yes, they all are. Some Limogres, some Haviland, plates, bowls all signed by this mysterious person..

So, as Bakersgma said, C. Mohr was a hobbyist who purchased blanks from different companies and decorated them. Nothing to do with George Ohr, a completely different name!
