mens dark metal wedding band

hey folks

this was something i found in a 50p tray

dont think its got alot of value, but got a lovely feel to it

very light, no marks

anyone got an idea what metal it is, just interested

The sheen on it makes me think of black onyx, but I do have trouble enlarging the pictures on my phone.

I have seen black onyx rings when I've been out and about digging through piles of jewelry.

i think men do choose these alternative metals for wedding rings though, for reasons unknown

Three days of charity shop lookings and this was all I found...it's almost like a war ​

The sheen on that stone is definitely hematite not onyx like I was thinking.

 

Is the ring magnetic?

Absolutely holly, that's why I posted, but agree could be a whole range of things

 

Haemetite will feel cold and fairly heavy, and can be magnetic.

 

It's almost aluminium light, and not cold at all

It's probably some kind of washer knowing my luck
