Thought I would give it a shot here, as I apparently missed the last time this particular tea cup showed up online and only caught a quick glimpse on Pinterest (that seems to have gone away as well). It's a Paragon double-warrant tea cup and saucer named "Autumn Carnival" (and no, not the gray one, although this one also features carnival masks).

Can anyone give me an idea about this cup? (approx year of manufacture, exactly HOW rare, etc.)

I've also added a screenshot of the Pinterest mention I found. I had to giggle reading the part "Will not see one of these again!" as I knew I had this cupboard above me in my office space.

    Thanks Laura,

That's very helpful concerning the price it sold for. It looks like most of the items have the three no results, unless there *was* actual bidding on the item. So it may have been a "buy it now" price. Too bad the full description was so uninformative. I wish there was more.

That’s definitely one of the good ones! ($$$)
I haven’t seen that one before. I have a few from the same time period: one with a lovely parasol and another one for Mother’s Day. They have similar coloring in the same double warrant Mark.

Thanks. I remember now that I was having trouble finding the exact mark with "China Manufacturers" on it. But I did just find one, listing it as circa 1939 - 1949. That sounds about right when considering the art work. It always made me think of 40's advertising art. I don't know about that "Art Nouveau/Art Deco appeal" - just not seeing it.

My Paragon sets with the same mark and similar styling:

Huh. I usually winged the date on these kinds of design around the 1950s, but I may have to revise my thinking!

    Which double-warrant mark?
    (Mine have the older mark.)
