Brooch Silver

    hi guys,

    Does anyone know what style this brooch is in? Is it silver?

    What does the mark on the back say?
    PS edit: it looks like there are two marks on the back, one at each end of the pin. Or am I just seeing optical illusions in the photograph?

    I noticed those two spots ass well but it doesn't say anything. I think maybe this is where the original pin was placed and that one fell off and they placed this one a bit higher.

    I would call the style Archaeological Revival, but only in style, it isn't antique imo.
    It looks plated, but it is best to have it tested.

    The round spot on the back is old solder from an previous clasp. The front surface is covered with solder from the granulation process.
