Featured Bead lovers, can you help identify these?

That pretty much proves that the beads are repurposed. I love these frit beads. Also want to add that my comments were based on erroneously assuming the beads were early 80s and made by the designer as opposed to being repurposed.

 

Maybe my date says 1961 instead of 1981....need to check. These beads are similar, but the difference is on my beads, melted glass is drizzled over black beads to give it the textured effect. If you look at the finds thread under the antique discussion forum, evelyb found an example of two beads that match mine from Pintrest with a description. Thank you for posting this!!!!

I think your necklace is called a Shuvon Shuv-on (I've seen it spelled both ways).




Just as a point of interest Judith McCann also invented and patented wingback earring clips. Other jewelry companies used her clip design, too.

When I googled her jewelry, I found out about the wingbacks but had no idea about these clasps! Thank you again! I will upload my necklace to Pintrest, too, with the description of the beads.
