Featured Stone with Fossilized Something? Otherworldly Bizarre. Help, Please.

Greetings Antiquers,
This is One of the More Interesting Stones I have found.
The stone measures one inch long.
Does anyone have an idea of what these are?
On the stone's backside, created by shadows (?), there is an image of a feline or canine?
I have examined the stone, using a jeweler's loupe, and it is not man made.
Sea Cucumber? Sponge?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think that's a fossil. Is the stone amber?

The common name is red carnelian agate.

 

As More said - you can delete the duplicates.

The...um...critter looks like Rin Tin Tin in the first picture; in the second, it's my own cat!

And the other side is really weird!

 

Instead of just a catseye, it's a whole cat!

Yes, it's carnelian agate. Makes great rings but very cool in the natural state...

 

And carnelian rings make great stands for small objects with round bases.

 

That's a great idea! I've got a lot of carnelian in its natural state. It's pretty common in S. Sumatra. People sell it on the side of the road. Beautiful stuff...
